I come from a broken family where my parents got divorced when I was 10 years old. I grew up as a very aggressive, depressed and suicidal young kid and having a lot of anger towards God.

I blamed God for my all my bad circumstances and never thought that He cared for or loved me. At the age of 13 I started surfing and met a friend who took me to his youth and church. I attempted to give my life to Jesus thinking that if I did that everything in my life would get better and all my problems would disappear.

meHi all, my name is Jan-Lodewyk du Toit, better known as Ludi and this is my story:

I grew up in a very loose enviroment as my parents were pretty much Hippies. I never had a great sense of purpose and direction and weren't aware of the severity of life. I casually cruised my way out of high school after grade 9,[bad move], and found myself in a life of a surf bum, no money, no education, no vision, just waiting for the next party or swell.

I cannot believe it is 4 years since arriving back in Australia. The time has flown and the thought of being back in J-Bay always in the back of my mind.

It was such a life changing experience for me that no amount of money could pay for. To belong to a family, to have people sow into my life and impart the Kingdom of God into me, was such a blessing and set a foundation for God to build upon for the rest of my life.
