Surf Masters is a family oriented ministry, facilitated by a family in a family home, which lends a safe, secure environment. Surf Masters is an integral part of Victory Christian Church who’s mission statement is “Building the family, advancing the Kingdom”

DES & CARA SAWYER.

Des is a surfboard shaper and together, he and Cara have been involved in the surfing industry and the surf lifestyle as well as having been involved in the ministry with Victory Christian Church that is part of Church of the Nations.

As a surfer, called to the nation of surfing, Des realized that he couldn’t be anybody else and is fully persuaded to impact the surf culture and redeem it back to the Kingdom of God.

Apart from Des and Cara, we have the benefit of including people who over the years have specialized in developing skills and abilities who serve in this ministry namely the five-fold ministry and teams from our local church as well as from around South Africa and abroad.

 

Ludi joined the surfmasters family in 2005. as a young surfer from Jeffreys bay, who lacked purpose and direction, found a home at surfmasters and has after doing his time as a student, been involved full time in the house as a leader, serving both Des , Cara and the larger VGY family. He is a young passionate man and has given his life to seeing other young people find their purpose for life.
